I would like to invite you — and anyone who may be reading this — to watch Sex & Love Around The World on Netflix, a very thought-provoking documentary series hosted by Christiane Amapour about six globally-renowned Asian, Middle Eastern, and African cities and the way their communities, particularly females view and approach the subject matter.
There are only six episodes (unfortunately), but the last one about Shanghai will tell you everything you need to know about how most of the current-living East Asian or Chinese generations (especially the ones with more traditional, elder household members) view this morally ambiguous subject.
Including the ones in Malaysia.
If you’re unfamiliar to the prevailing Malaysian culture, just know that the Chinese influence is relatively strong here.
